Dec 09 - Custom Factory Acceptance Test Equipment

ABI completes Factory Acceptance Test kit for a QinetiQ project allowing rapid testing of each unit off the production line. Each test assembly allows specific functions to be tested ensuring that all circuits, including safety critical circuits, are working correctly as well as allowing variable components within the assembly to be calibrated. Nov 09 - Chorus Unveiled At Durham Cathedral

ABI are proud to have been involved with the development of a control box and large variable brightness LED array for the UVA Chorus project. Oct 09 - P-POD a finalist in the BETT Awards 2010

ABI's P-POD has been short-listed for the BETT awards electronic device catagory after successful use in several schools throughout London and the UK. Its small form and clever predefined shut off timer for end of day ensures that projectors are off and that projector bulbs are not wasted, saving money and energy.

Sep 09 - ICS used as Telemetry System at Green Power Race Final

ABI were delighted to be at the Green Power Racing Final supporting Leigh Technology Academy. By customising the highly adaptable Integrated Control System (ICS) with a radio module and a suite of sensors, ABI were able to build a low cost telemetry system for Car to Pit communication of motor temperature, current and speed. It is hoped that as the system is developed the students can begin to add additional sensors and utilise the data to improve the car's performance during races.
